Who we are
Trewan Hall is a campsite located in North Cornwall between Newquay and Padstow. We have been a family run business since 1965 and have many very loyal campers. We are incredibly proud of our grounds and facilities and are highly rated across many booking agencies and sites. The site is spread over 36 acres and at capacity holds circa 700 campers. We have an ethos of always putting our guests first and keeping Trewan a friendly place for all that visit.
What we are looking for
For the summer of 2023 we need an experienced Campsite Warden Couple between the dates of 22nd May and September 12th. The hours would be split between the couple depending on relevant skills. In high season there could be scope for the second person’s hours to increase but again this would depend on experience, skills and our demand. We have an experienced couple as Wardens returning this summer bit with some management changes taking place require more responsible help onsite.
What we are offering
The position would be paid hourly and we estimate in high season (10/7 – 30/8) from 12 noon to 10 pm daily 5 days a week inclusive of weekends. Outside of high season hours will be reduced in response to how busy we are but we estimate it should not drop below 15-20 hours a week.
We would provide a long-term pitch, with electricity free of charge for the duration of the Warden’s employment. The pitch could accommodate up to 2 people and a well-behaved pet. You must own your own campervan/caravan.
Duties include;
• Responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the showers and toilet blocks
We do have an external provider that does all our cleaning in high season, but we need the Campsite Wardens to be responsible for facilitating their work.
o Ensuring the quality of work is at a high standard daily.
o Ensuring sufficient stock levels of cleaning products, toilet rolls etc are always available and ordering accordingly.
o Monitoring the cleanliness of the facilities through the day and proactively maintaining the standards by cleaning personally when necessary.
Outside of high season the Campsite Warden will be responsible for the cleaning of the facilities alongside the other wardens.
• Monitoring the site through the evening to ensure respectful noise levels and dealing with any unwelcome behaviour.
Again, we do have an external provider that act as Security Guards from 10 pm to 1 am but we need the Campsite Warden to enforce the site rules until they hand-over to the Security team.
• Any other general tasks involved in the day to day running of the site this could include.
o Helping in the Shop and Reception.
o General Maintenance of the site, mowing, strimming etc.
o Setting up for events in the evening.
o Greeting and pitching guests.
Necessary Skills and Experience
