Caravan and Campsite Managers/Wardens start date 1st December 2023 with previous week required for handover.
Romney Meadows Park is perfectly located just outside New Romney and is an ideal site for a quiet getaway for caravanning, motor homing or camping and exploring the beautiful Kent coastline. Our site has 50 pitches which are a combination of hardstanding/grass, camping cabins and seasonal bell tents.
We are looking for a warden couple to manage the campsite, which has achieved the Travellers Choice and Best of the Best awards for 2022 and is cycle friendly accredited. This is a permanent role for 11 months of the year from 1st March to 31st January. Salary is negotiable and on site accommodation is provided. Statutory 28 days holiday.
Previous experience of working as park wardens/campsite manager is required and working with the public would be beneficial.
Main duties and responsibilities
Reception – always providing the highest level of customer service. You will be answering telephone calls, responding to emails, taking bookings, managing enquiries, greeting guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
Administration – organising bookings using Free to Book portal, cashing up and carrying out basic admin tasks.
Pitches – assisting arrivals to their allocated pitch
Cleaning of facilities – maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness inside and outside of buildings, toilets and shower blocks and around the park.
Gardening and maintenance of the grounds – refuse collection and general gardening duties using the tools and equipment provided.
To be successful you will need to possess the following:

A practical hands on approach to gardening and maintenance tasks
An understanding of computers and a working knowledge or excel and outlook
Good basic administrative and numeracy skills
Self motivation
Be prepared to work flexibly across the week
