Dolgead Hall Caravan and Lodge Park has 170 holiday homes and is a family business which has been established for nearly 50 years. Philip and Anna live and work at Dolgead Hall and oversee the running of the business first hand. We take pride in offering a personal yet profession service to all of our customers.
Banwy Mill Caravan Park has been recently acquired by the Pryce family and is currently under development. Banwy Mill is just over a mile from Dolgead Hall and will have 23 prime holiday home plots.
About the role/s:
The role will ideally suit an individual or a couple and offers comfortable accommodation in a detached 3 bedroom bungalow next to Banwy Mill Caravan Park.
Full time permanent Position.
The main role is full time (40 hour week plus standby as required). This is a physically demanding job with duties including ground works, large scale gardening, slabbing, concreting, strimming, holiday home siting, tractor driving, carpentry. Attention to detail in the large and small jobs is essential. Dependent on experience there may also be animal handling and farming duties.
Alongside the physical aspect of this role, there is also the customer relations side. The role requires the applicant to have good people skills, keeping the relationship friendly but professional. You would be involved in providing cover for Dolgead Hall and Banwy Mill when required.
Optional Part time Position for Spouse This would be a seasonal role with duties including the valeting of new and pre-owned holiday homes at Dolgead Hall and Banwy Mill, on going cleaning of public buildings at Dolgead Hall. Valeting of holiday homes to the highest standard is essential. Experience and knowledge of plants and gardening would be a bonus. Dependent on the candidate, there may be additional hours completing administration tasks.
You will be required to live in Glanaber, the 3 bedroom bungalow overlooking the new Banwy Mill Caravan Park. You will need to hold a full UK drivers licence. You need to have a flexible attitude to the varied role. You will be an approachable person and professional in personality. You need to have good communication skills, the ability to perform well as part of a team and be able to work on your own. You will have strong attention to detail and be able to carry out instructions. You will have the ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Previous experience of landscaping and maintenance;
• Machinery maintenance experience;
• Adequate knowledge of utilities, such as drainage, water, electricity etc.
• Previous experience of working on a caravan park or in a similar environment would be an advantage.
