Seasonal Vacancy for Part Time Cleaning/reception & General Maintenance pair (March – October 2025)
We are offering a great chance to live and work in the town that the Sunday Times voted the best place to live in 2024. North Berwick.
We’re looking for an active, friendly, hardworking couple to support our small team helping to maintain standards on this family owned and managed park. The position will be available for 7-8 months from March until end of September/October 2025. Flexible part time hours over 4 days per week. This will include some weekends. Giving you plenty of time to explore the beautiful county of East Lothian while your here.
A modern static caravan or seasonal pitch for own touring caravan provided including utilities (electricity, gas, water)
Expected duties
• Customer Service & Reception providing a friendly approach to customer service, including meeting and checking in guests, assisting with general enquiries and dealing with our friendly owners.
• Taking bookings for holiday units and carry out basic office tasks and organisation.
• Groundskeeping & Maintenance including gardening, groundskeeping, and basic repairs across the site. Experience in using machinery such as strimmer’s and ride on mowers/tractors is beneficial but not essential for the right candidates as training will be provided.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of park facilities, including communal areas and rental accommodation.
• Be available for emergency callouts and to address guest concerns, ensuring a safe and enjoyable stay for all visitors.
• The ability to work as a team or independently is important as the variety of tasks needed to keep the park running is extremely diverse.
Experience
• Previous experience of working on a caravan park or holiday park is beneficial, however any experience in hospitality and a certain amount of common sense will help you in the position.
• Basic DIY, groundskeeping, gardening, machinery and general maintenance experience.
• Competence in handling office duties, bookings, and basic IT skills.
• Basic ability to work with Excel, Word and basic booking systems (we use RMS).
• We are a small informal family run park, so friendliness and approachability are key.
• Flexibility & Reliability with a can-do attitude. As the park does not close, reliability is key.
• Ability to work independently and handle unforeseen issues with confidence and initiative.
