Seasonal Evening Warden 2020
Closing Date:

We have a vacancy for an Evening Warden, working in the Park Operations team of our holiday park.
A pitch for your caravan is included free of charge and we can provide work on our park for a partner, making this a great option for couples. We’d love to find someone interested in a seasonal job spanning several years!
Our holiday business occupies a stunning location at the foot of Ben Nevis in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. We take pride in the quality of the service we provide and promote a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for the benefit of our employees and guests.
Our Evening Wardens help to keep the park running smoothly from 5pm. Key responsibilities include assisting reception with customer issues, helping to manage pitch availability, keeping the place tidy (some litter picking and cleaning), general park supervision and being the first point-of-contact when reception closes. At the end of the shift there is generally a handover to a Night Warden.
Catering for tents, motorcaravans and touring caravans is the mainstay of our business and the trade level fluctuates greatly over the season. When we’re busy you’ll be covering evenings, but in quieter times earlier shifts may be required and your duties and responsibilities may vary.
Typical duties will include:
– Ensuring the park remains silent from 11pm
– Locking up and park security
– Help reception manage customer issues and pitch availability when busy
– Greeting late arrivals and showing them to their plots
– Attending to guests requiring attention
– Some litter picking and cleaning
– Ensuring park facilities are kept clean, tidy and well maintained
– Managing guest complaints
– Some nights on call
– General facilities/laundry maintenance and minor repairs
– Handling difficult customers
– Basic first aid
We’re looking for people who are friendly and approachable. Occasionally you’ll need the confidence to handle difficult situations by being firm, but polite. Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of holiday parks and some basic maintenance skills. You’ll also need to be fairly adaptable as the nature of the job changes over the course of the season.
We can be a bit flexible on the type of contract we offer for this role, depending on the type of work/life balance you are looking for and the rate of pay is dependent on experience. A pitch for your own caravan is provided free of charge or we may be able to provide a static caravan.
Our season runs from March to October.
