We are looking for a friendly, personable and enthusiastic couple to cover Warden duties at our family-run, 4 pennant touring caravan park.
You would be living on site and required to work bank holidays and weekends, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. Out of hours cover is required in the event of an issue or emergency, however, as the family live on-site, live-in cover for the park will be on a mutually agreed and flexible basis.
The job opportunity is available with immediate start to the end of October 2023.
Previous office or reception experience or grounds work experience is not required but desirable, the ability to multi-task and cope in busy environments is essential. Full training will be given, including training courses where appropriate.
Your own pitch with electric and use of laundry/shower facilities is included with the role, plus all relevant PPE and equipment.
Applicants would be required to attend to the following on a routine basis:
– Covering reception, booking in clients by telephone, answering email enquiries, meeting and greeting, checking in/out and managing the electric hook-up system. Requiring a basic level of computer knowledge and accuracy in written records, filing and calculations.
– Managing the stock and sales of the convenience shop, electric top-up and gas sales, located in Reception. Requiring use of a till, pricing up stock, basic stock rotation and resolving any face to face or telephone enquiries.
– Park maintenance, routine grass cutting with ride on mower/strimmer, hedge cutting, planting, painting, routine tidying.
– Cleaning toilets, showers, and family bathrooms to a high standard.
– In addition, undertaking any other tasks as required from time to time to contribute towards the efficient operation of the campsite and to successful teamwork.
The site is on our working, organic farm and accommodates caravans, motorhomes and tents with an amenity block and an on-site shop/reception.
Nearby to local amenities and attractions, the park is within walking/cycling distance of Moors Valley Country Park.
The working week is Thursday to Monday. Hours may vary in low to high season.
Well behaved pets are acceptable.
