We are looking for a practical, reliable and motivated two-person management team to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of Manleigh Park, our established holiday park in Combe Martin, North Devon.
This is a genuinely hands-on park management role. We are looking for a team who will take pride in the park, look after our holiday guests and ensure the grounds, accommodation and overall operation are maintained to a consistently high standard.
The Role
Between you, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the park, including:
• Managing holiday bookings and general booking administration
• Responding to guest enquiries by telephone and email
• Managing arrivals and departures
• Looking after holiday guests throughout their stay
• Maintaining accurate booking and customer records
• Providing required reports and information to the accounts team
• Managing and assisting with housekeeping and holiday accommodation changeovers
• Inspecting accommodation before arrivals and following departures
• Maintaining the overall appearance and presentation of the park
• Grass cutting and strimming
• Weed control
• Hedge cutting
• Pruning and cutting back trees and vegetation
• General grounds maintenance and landscaping
• General lodge and site maintenance
• Minor repairs, fencing, decking, painting and general handyman duties
• Identifying maintenance issues and arranging specialist contractors where required
• Managing suppliers and contractors attending the park
• Carrying out routine park, health & safety and operational checks
• Monitoring stock and supplies
• Providing a friendly and professional on-site management presence
We are looking for people who can see what needs doing and get it done, rather than waiting to be given a daily list of jobs.
Working Pattern
This is not a conventional Monday-to-Friday, 9am-to-5pm role.
Holiday parks operate around guests and seasonal demand, so applicants need to be comfortable with a flexible working pattern.
There will be quieter periods as well as busier periods, particularly during:
• Weekends
• Bank holidays
• School holidays
• Main holiday periods
• Changeover days
• Guest arrival and departure times
There may also occasionally be evening requirements or urgent on-site matters that need attention.
The successful team will organise their time around the operational needs of the park while ensuring appropriate cover and time off.
How to Apply
Please apply with a CV for each applicant, together with a short covering letter telling us:
• A little about yourselves
• Your current employment and circumstances
• Your previous park, hospitality or management experience
• Your grounds and maintenance experience
• Your experience with bookings, administration or customer service
