A Bit About Us…

Red Deer Village is a small but busy, family-owned business located in Stepps, Glasgow. Our key focus is providing exclusive homes for the 50+ community in our residential park. Our holiday park has a Scottish Tourism 5 Star rating. It offers self-catering accommodation for rental as well as touring and tent pitches. We are seeking a pair of suitably qualified individuals, preferably a couple willing to work together, to fulfil the key role of park wardens in our busy holiday park. A couple could ideally split responsibilities between them, to cover all areas from office work to general maintenance. A free of charge touring pitch or self-catering holiday home will be offered to the successful applicants.

Working hours in the summer for each position would generally be Thursday – Monday inclusive, with overtime available. However, alternative/additional days may be required. You will be required to be on call out of normal working hours for emergencies and other issues that may come up.

£500 bonus each on successful completion of contract. Fixed term position ending 30 September 2024.

Main Responsibilities – Exterior & Park Maintenance
•Grass cutting, trimming grass/hedges, weeding all areas.
•Repairs and maintenance to internal and external of all rental units and buildings. 
•Rodding drains.
•Changing Calor gas bottles.
•Emptying rubbish bins into containers for weekly collection and washing bins. 
•Pressure washing.
•Attending and dealing with emergencies or repairs out of social hours.
•Health & Safety procedures and checks relating to park maintenance and use of company equipment.
•Painting buildings, caravans, kerbs, etc.
•Ensuring park  and facilities remain a high standard and are kept clean and tidy.
•Cleaning, washing and inspecting toilet/shower blocks and rental units.
•Collecting parts/materials from suppliers. 
•Various other issues that may arise on the daily operations of a holiday park. 
Main Responsibilities – Office & Interior
•Answering telephone and dealing with enquiries
•Sending and receiving emails
•Calculating and printing/sending invoices
•Processing debit/credit card payments
•Reading gas and electricity meters
•Taking bookings, collecting rents
•Cashing up till daily
•Dealing with visitors on a daily basis, handling complaints
•Health & Safety procedures and checks
•Ordering materials from various suppliers
•Cleaning, washing and inspecting toilet/shower blocks and rental units
•Ensuring park and facilities remain a high standard and are kept clean and tidy
•Arranging repairs to be carried out
•Handling electric cards and keys
•Attending and dealing with emergencies or repairs out of social hours
•Various other issues that may arise on the daily operations of a holiday park

Previous experience preferable.
